Hi!

I’m Zach Nguyen, a Louisiana-born artist currently studying Production Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. My work focuses on emotional storytelling through illustration and production design. I’m drawn to the strange, the overlooked, and the textured—grime, structure, silhouettes. Whether I’m building a mask, a set, or a mood, I aim for work that leaves a scar.

My creative process is rooted in observation and emotional resonance. Whether I’m developing a character or shaping a physical space, I focus on visual storytelling that evokes mood and meaning. I’m drawn to textures, asymmetry, and symbols that speak to identity and memory. My work is detail-oriented yet intuitive, combining my formal training with a restless imagination.

I believe in making work that leaves room for interpretation — images and spaces that invite curiosity rather than demand explanation. As I build my portfolio, I’m seeking projects that challenge genre and form, especially those that merge design with narrative. Whether I’m working solo or collaborating on set, I approach each opportunity as a way to grow, contribute, and sharpen my visual language.
